Conveniently located off both the purple line and the UP-North Metra line, this place was surprisingly trendy - though there was definitely an older crowd than most of the trendy places we've gone to that were within Chicago city limits. The only unfortunate thing about the menu is that you can't mix and match tacos - you have to order an order of the same three tacos. I happened to make a deal with a guest judge, Tyler, to swap a taco with him.

And man - they lived up to their hype. A vegetarians dream, I would imagine.Hell - I’m a meat eater and I would write songs about these tacos. And I don't even know WHAT the sauce was on top but yes. yes. yes.

And just across the street from Habanero there is a bar that just opened recently that is popular with the happy hour commuter crowd - Madison Tavern.
So, in we went for their tacos to consume as fast as we possibly could so I could get back to work. And surprisingly.... they were really good!

Read MoreBullhead Cantina felt like an oasis when we walked in to it's dark confines - it was a warm contrast to the frigid temperatures outside. Additionally, they actually had a Taco Tuesday special! (Seriously, when we started this in November, this was the first place to actually have a Taco Tuesday special. I KNOW! It's like these taco places don't understand how special Tuesdays are.)
