Prepare yourselves. We're looking at a rave. Also, definitely tipsy as I write this - I’m a few margs deep.
This place is, point blank, the bees knees.
What looks like a small taco shop from the outside is actually a sit down restaurant. Not the trendiest place to look at and definitely a little older. Was it a little grimy in the bathroom? Sure. Was the bar shoddily put together? Sure. Did I care? Not one bit. Actually, all of the above may have added to this place’s charm.
But the location isn't what wooed me. Let's get straight to the tacos.
The recommended taco was the Taco EnCarbonado - which was essentially a spicy short rib taco. I got that one. Fellow taco connoisseur and ride or die babe, Sara Seibt, got the plain short rib because she can't take the heat.
The short rib tacos were perfection - point blank. I got a carne asada taco as well and that was awesome as well.
AND THE CHEESE YOU GUYS - IT WAS MELTED!!!!
Which, yeah, not super traditional. But, super delicious.
O. M. G. Guys.... do you know how hard it was to not give these tacos MORE than 5 stars? Which would be a first, by the way, on the tour. WE MIGHT HAVE FOUND THE PERFECT TACOS. WE ARE OFFICIALLY GIVING THESE TACOS 5 STARS!!! Wait - pause, no, we're not.
Sara sat and thought long and hard about this one. They were so good, you guys. Like.... soooooo good. But, ultimately, we just don't feel right handing out the 5 star ranking quite yet. We are going to go with 4.9. Which is still the highest score we've EVER given.
So…. would we recommend??? Um, have you been reading this at all??? Yes, yes, a million times yes.
