I won't lie, folks. I'm a bit tipsy as I write this one - from all of my ONE margaritas that I had tonight. I officially have declared myself a two beer queer. But that's errelaphant of the tacos that I am currently eating (I ordered one to go).
This place... was a bit overwhelming. The menu is filled with a lot of ingredients that I just don't know. But, whatever! It was time to experiment. So I ordered with confidence!
Lemme dive in because I have a lot to say.
Yoooooo this ahi poke taco is dope. Shoulda asked for it in something that is NOT lettuce. Which is why the taco I ordered to go I asked for a regular tortilla. I was inspired by how delicious the tuna poke was at Big & Littles and while this taco was not the magical experience I had at Big & Littles - it was still REAL good.
The Grilled Flank was delicious as well - even with the funky sauce on it. This was also the only one with a corn tortilla which is v. important to me.
Alright - I ordered the WTF because like... I thought it would be fun. But man, this one was terrible. But ultra spicy. And I'm a sucker for spicy food so I still ate the whole hing even while grimacing with every bite. I blame this one on myself though, I would normally not order a curry taco.
Fellow taco connoisseur & ride or die babe, Sara Seibt, got the fish taco and I should have gotten that one. It's what Thrillist recommended and she let me have a bite and it tasted bomb.
These are the best trendy tacos we've had to date and while I personally wouldn't go out of my way to go here or necessarily call them "the best tacos in Chicago" - I would come back here again - and probably will - next time I go out in the area. Cause this place is open late - holla!!!
