Let me tell you about how low my excitement was to come to Del Seoul. Del Seoul had primarily fish tacos which we had not had the best success with in Chicago and it was a trendy, fusion place that I tend to find overhyped. What I found was a delightful surprise that might have become one of my new favorite spots.
The place is a small and you order at the counter. We got a slew of tacos, some miso soup, and some dumplings because why the hell not? (Disclaimer, miso soup and dumplings will not affect taco score and will only make me happy)
So I tried 3: The Korean Pork tacos, the sesame-lime shrimp, and the sambal fish. And I won't lie, the korean pork were only okay (the Home Chef ones I made for myself are far superior) and the fish taco was v. good - but the real star of the show was the shrimp tacos for me. Everything was bursting with flavor and wasn't overpowered by "fancy" ingredients.
Would I go back? Hell yeah!
